The League of Crafty Guitarists
& Orquesta Filarmónica de Mendoza

Recorded live at Teatro Independencia, Mendoza, Argentina. December 1st, 2024
LIVE VI emerges from a shared act of listening. What began as music shaped by guitars, Soundscapes and collective awareness were invited to unfold within the expanded breath of a symphony orchestra.
Conceived as a bridge between classical music and experimental popular music, the project takes as its beginning point The Wine of Silence, a body of work composed by Robert Fripp. These pieces originate in his improvised Soundscapes, later transcribed by Belgian guitarist Bert Lams and orchestrated by British composer Andrew Keeling. Additional orchestral arrangements for The League of Crafty Guitarists were composed by Juan Emilio Cucchiarelli and Joaquín Guevara.
The orchestral arrangements were approached as an act of translation rather than transformation, seeking a balance between precision and openness, presence and space. In this process, they were shaped not only by notes, but by attention, resonance and silence.
The shared rehearsal sessions between The League of Crafty Guitarists and the Mendoza Philharmonic Orchestra became a true place of encounter, where two musical traditions gradually aligned through patience, trust and deep listening. The force of both worlds converged into a single, fluid musical language.
The result was a unique and unforgettable musical event. Beyond the performance itself, this collaboration opened a new path for The League of Crafty Guitarists, expanding the interpretation of the music of Robert Fripp, King Crimson and Guitar Craft into new orchestral horizons.

Sound is that cup, but empty.
Noise is that cup, but broken.”
